National PTA Reflections Program
National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for students to explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art each year in response to a student-selected theme. This year's theme for the 2026-2027 program year is “What My Culture Means to Me.” Students submit their completed works in one or more arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Multiple submissions are welcome! LASA entries will be judged in a blind process, and selected entries will move on to the Council/Regional level. From there, entries may move on to the Texas PTA level and even the national level, where they may be chosen for state-wide and national honors. All LASA entrants will be invited to a special lunch to celebrate their work.
Student submission details:
Reflect on the theme "What My Culture Means to Me." Create an original work of art that fits the theme through; visual art, photography, film production, literature, music composition, or dance choreography.
Complete one student entry form per entry.
The deadline for LASA’s submissions is October 31, 2026.
Rules can be found below. Student and/or Family Member must be a current LASA PTSA member for the 2026-2027 School Year by October 31.
